Qualys Appoints Mike Stevens as Vice President of Sales

Redwood City, CA - Boston, MA — June 17, 2003 — Qualys™, Inc., the market leader of on-demand security audits and vulnerability management, today announced the appointment of Mike Stevens as Vice President of Sales for the Americas and Asia Pacific. Stevens comes to Qualys with more than 20 years of sales experience in the technology industry with a strong focus on the Fortune 1000 enterprise market. He will be charged with further developing and expanding Qualys’ growing customer base and will report directly to Philippe Courtot, chairman and CEO of Qualys.

In the last six months, Qualys has added more than 400 subscribers to its fast-growing automated security auditing service, bringing its customer base to a milestone of over 1,000 global subscribers. That number continues to grow as increased corporate security concerns and regulatory pressures prompt more frequent security audits. Stevens will continue to build on the success of Qualys’ sales organization with his broad base of sales experience at both start-up and more established sales operations

Prior to joining Qualys, Stevens worked with Caw Networks, a Silicon Valley start-up delivering an appliance-based solution for testing web applications, network equipment and infrastructure. Stevens led the company’s initial sales launch, growing the business from zero to 200 customers worldwide in less than two years. Previously, as Vice President of Sales for Software AG, USA, he was responsible for the company’s initial direct sales launch of XML-based software solutions into the U.S. Fortune 1000 market. Stevens was also a key player in the sales management team at Auspex Systems, their successful launch into the Storage market, an eventual IPO and over $200M in revenue. Stevens has held other sales and management positions with Oracle, Network Systems and Boeing Computer Systems.
