Logica Partners Qualys To Deliver Network Vulnerability Auditing Service

— April 25, 2001 — Qualys, a leader in the emerging field of online network vulnerability assessment services, today announces a strategic partnership agreement with Logica. Logica will use Qualys’ flagship solution, QualysGuard, as part of its range of network security auditing solutions.

QualysGuard is a unique online platform for comprehensive network vulnerability assessment and up-to-date security verification. It ranks potential risks and recommends fixes for eliminating network weaknesses. The service is unique in that it analyses networks from the outside-in, as a potential intruder would do, uncovering security gaps that would be very difficult to detect from a traditional inside-out perspective.

Logica has taken advantage of the QualysGuard Travelling Licence which will enable Logica to scan an unlimited number of customer IP addresses as part of its e-CheckIT service. As QualysGuard is an online service, it requires no hardware or software to be installed, allowing Logica to deploy the technology immediately.
