Advisory overview
Qualys Vulnerability R&D Lab has released new vulnerability checks in the Enterprise TruRisk Platform to protect organizations against 10 vulnerabilities that were fixed in 3 bulletins announced today by Adobe. Customers can immediately audit their networks for these and other new vulnerabilities by accessing their Qualys subscription. Visit Qualys Security Blog to prioritize remediation.

Adobe Flash Player is a multimedia application for multiple platforms.
Adobe Flash Player is exposed to the following vulnerabilities
- An integer overflow vulnerability that could lead to code execution (CVE-2013-2555).
A memory corruption vulnerabilities that could lead to code execution (CVE-2013-1378, CVE-2013-1380).
A memory corruption vulnerability caused by Flash Player improperly initializing certain pointer arrays, which could lead to code execution (CVE-2013-1379).Affected Versions:
Adobe Flash Player 11.6.602.180 and earlier versions for Windows and Macintosh
Adobe AIR 3.6.0.6090 and earlier versions for Windows, Macintosh - Consequence
- Successfully exploiting these vulnerabilities might allow a remote attacker to take control of the affected system.

Adobe ColdFusion is an application for developing Web sites.
Adobe has released a security hotfix for ColdFusion to resolve the following vulnerabilities:
A vulnerability in Coldfusion could be exploited to impersonate an authenticated user (CVE-2013-1387).
A vulnerability in Coldfusion could be exploited by an unauthorized user to gain access to the ColdFusion administrator console (CVE-2013-1388).
Affected Versions:
ColdFusion 10, 9.0.2, 9.0.1 and 9.0 are affected. - Consequence
- Exploitation could allow an attacker to gain access to the administrator console or impersonate an authenticated user.

Adobe Shockwave Player is a multimedia player available for multiple platforms. It is prone to multiple vulnerabilities.
This update resolves the followiing issues:
A buffer overflow vulnerability that could lead to code execution (CVE-2013-1383).
Memory corruption vulnerabilities that could lead to code execution (CVE-2013-1384, CVE-2013-1386).
A memory leakage vulnerability that could be exploited to reduce the effectiveness of address space randomization (CVE-2013-1385).Affected Versions:
Adobe Shockwave Player 12.0.0.112 and earlier versions on the Windows and Macintosh. - Consequence
- Could allow an attacker to run malicious code on the affected system.
- Solution

The vendor has released an update to resolve this issue. Adobe recommends Shockwave Player users install Shockwave Player version 12.0.2.122. The updated version is available for download at the Shockwave Player Download site.

These new vulnerability checks are included in Qualys vulnerability signature 2.2.405-3. Each Qualys account is automatically updated with the latest vulnerability signatures as they become available. To view the vulnerability signature version in your account, from the Qualys Help menu, select the About tab.
Selective Scan Instructions Using Qualys
To perform a selective vulnerability scan, configure a scan profile to use the following options:
- Ensure access to TCP ports 135 and 139 are available.
- Enable Windows Authentication (specify Authentication Records).

Enable the following Qualys IDs:
- 121051
- 12666
- 121052
- If you would like the scan to return the Windows Hostname, also include QID 82044 and ensure access to UDP port 137 is available.
- If you would like to be notified if Qualys is unable to log on to a host (if Authentication fails), also include QID 105015.
In addition, prior to running a scan for these new vulnerabilities, you can estimate your exposure to these new threats by running the Risk Analysis Report, available from the Qualys Vulnerability Management Reports tab.
