New Qualys Consulting Edition brings the power of its cloud platform, across on-premises environments, endpoints and clouds, to users of Nessus Professional, Nexpose and other scanning tools
FOSTER CITY, Calif., – August 14, 2018 – Qualys, Inc. (NASDAQ: QLYS), a pioneer and leading provider of cloud-based security and compliance solutions, today announced Qualys Consulting Edition, a comprehensive offering for consultants, security consulting organizations and managed service providers (MSPs) that brings them the power and scale of the Qualys Cloud Platform in an easy-to-deploy, easy-to-use and cost-effective solution.
Qualys Consulting Edition delivers consultants, consulting firms and MSPs the ability to perform multiple ongoing vulnerability assessment engagements from a single, centralized and self-updating platform that allows them to consolidate their security stack for on-premises environments, endpoints and clouds, drastically reducing total cost of ownership (TCO).
“Consultants, consulting organizations and managed service providers have been asking us to provide our unique cloud platform and integrated suite of applications in a way that helps them scale their services cost-effectively and provide their customers with a more comprehensive solution, allowing them from a single platform to perform security assessments across on-premises environments, endpoints and clouds,” said Philippe Courtot, chairman and CEO, Qualys, Inc. “This is what Qualys Consulting Edition does and we are proud to bring such a groundbreaking offering to the market, as it brings consultants a modern cloud platform so they can better support clients across their new hybrid infrastructure and cloud applications.”
The new Qualys Consulting Edition provides consultants with the ability to cost-effectively manage multiple engagements. It allows consulting organizations to track results from their engagements in one place, and allows MSPs to add security services to their existing portfolio, enabling multi-tenancy with Six-Sigma accuracy, historic trending, and included API support
The new Qualys Consulting Edition offering also addresses issues created by scanning overlapping IPs, and provides out-of-the-box dynamic and fully customizable reporting and trending reports and dashboards. These features simplify the task of scanning a range of client assets by maintaining a high level of organization, which streamlines reporting functions, saving time without having to extract the information to create reports and drastically reducing the time required to perform security and compliance engagements. It also includes Qualys Cloud Agent support for real-time vulnerability management. In addition, it allows these security professionals to deliver customers the suite of Qualys’ free groundbreaking services such as CertView and CloudView, which enables them to track and monitor all their internet-facing digital certificates and multi-cloud assets at no additional cost.
Qualys Consulting Edition delivers the power and scale of the Qualys Cloud Platform in an easy-to-deploy, easy-to-use and cost-effective solution.
A newly introduced multi-tenant Networks tab allows data segmentation between clients.
“We moved our managed vulnerability solution from Tenable to Qualys in order to address the pain of its lack of distributed architecture, multi-tenancy and scale,” said Paul Caiazzo, CEO and Co-Founder, TruShield Security Solutions, Inc. “With the power and the many integrated apps of the Qualys Platform, we are now in a great position to expand our managed security and fully address the new security challenges that the new hybrid infrastructure environment brings.”
“Infogressive selected Qualys for our Managed Security Services Platform since our evaluation found that there is no other multi-tenant platform enabled with APIs available to achieve the scale and depth of what Qualys can do with the ease of consolidating multiple technologies,” said Justin Kallhoff, CEO, Infogressive. “This now allows us to cost-effectively broaden our offerings to expand our partnerships with managed Service Providers.”
“While periodically evaluating other vendors in the space, we have found that Qualys’ cloud-based solution uniquely provides more flexibility to rapidly assess our clients’ evolving infrastructure, regardless of their network configuration,” said Dennis Houseknecht, Chief Technology Officer, Waterloo Security Ltd. “This flexibility has enabled our organization to scale in servicing a wide variety of clients as their needs grow from a simple one-time assessment to a continuous security program.”
“Qualys enables us to scale our services as our clients transform their traditional IT networks into hybrid and cloud-dominant environments,” said Kelly Hammons, VP of Customer Success, Secutor Consulting. “By consolidating multiple services into a single platform, Qualys lets us easily increase the speed and accuracy of securing our clients’ on-premises and cloud assets without extensive training or infrastructure upgrades.”
