Delivers customers full-lifecycle visibility and protection of container-native applications running on Amazon Web Services
LAS VEGAS – AWS re:Invent 2018, Booth #2529 – November 27, 2018 — Qualys, Inc. (NASDAQ: QLYS), a pioneer and a leading provider of cloud-based security and compliance solutions, today launched the Qualys Container Security solution on the new AWS Marketplace for Containers. Customers can now easily gain visibility and security of containerized applications running on Amazon Web Services (AWS), in just a few clicks.
AWS customers can now use the Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS) console and AWS Marketplace for Containers to discover, produce, and deploy container solutions – including Qualys Container Security. With today’s release, AWS Marketplace has extended its existing benefits and features to container products, with a rich discovery and search experience offering access to a curated catalog of trusted software from reputable vendors.
DevOps and SecOps teams can now use Qualys Container Security to monitor and further protect their container-native applications on AWS without disrupting their existing Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. They can also assess the contents of their container images for vulnerabilities, control which images are deployed, gain visibility into runtime application activity, and also automatically enforce normal application behavior.
“Containers have brought about a new pace and scale of business innovation and digital transformation, and are changing the requirements to secure and monitor applications,” said Philippe Courtot, chairman and CEO, Qualys, Inc. “Qualys Container Security enables businesses to embed visibility and security into their container-native applications running on AWS.”
“We are excited to have Qualys offer their container security suite on AWS Marketplace for Containers, which enables millions of AWS customers to discover and provision container-native workloads for Amazon ECS, Amazon Elastic Container Service for Kubernetes (Amazon EKS), and AWS Fargate,” said Dave McCann, Vice President, AWS Marketplace, Amazon Web Services, Inc. “By having Qualys security products on AWS Marketplace, over 200,000 active AWS Marketplace customers can avail themselves of enhanced visibility and protection for their container-based workloads, with the added benefits of simplified discovery and integrated AWS billing.”
