NOTABLE RECENT SECURITY ISSUES

SELECTED BY THE TALOS SECURITY INTELLIGENCE AND RESEARCH GROUP

Title: Remotely Exploitable 0-Day Impacts NETGEAR WNR2000 Routers
Description: Researcher discovers several vulnerabilities that could result in remote code execution capabilities in Netgear WNR2000 routers. The vulnerabilities are only exploitable over the LAN by default. However, researcher was able to find more than 10,000 vulnerable routers that have remote administration enabled via Shodan. The vulnerabilities include information leakage, command execution, and a stack buffer overflow that could allow remote code execution.
