Qualys App Keeps ServiceNow Configuration Management Database Up to Date in Real Time with Assets and Their Attributes Discovered by Qualys
LAS VEGAS – Oct. 7, 2015 – Qualys, Inc. (NASDAQ: QLYS), a pioneer and leading provider of cloud-based security and compliance solutions, today announced a beta version of its application that synchronizes Qualys asset discovery and classification with the ServiceNow® Configuration Management system. The Qualys App for ServiceNow will automatically update the ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) with any asset discovered by Qualys and with up-to-date information on existing assets, giving ServiceNow users full visibility of their global IT assets on a continuous basis.

We’ll be able to more quickly identify and resolve issues with our infrastructure assets and processes that would, until now, have gone unnoticed.”
The application will automate the process of synchronizing all newly discovered assets and the latest information on existing assets collected by Qualys with the ServiceNow CMDB. Qualys collects real-time inventory information about IT assets by leveraging Qualys cloud agent technology. The information includes hardware inventory data such as manufacturer, model, CPU, memory and disk space as well as software inventory data such as software name, version and vendor. Any changes made on the device are immediately pushed to the Qualys Platform and then synchronized into ServiceNow. Additionally, the application will provide a differential report on assets that are registered in the ServiceNow CMDB but not in Qualys and vice-versa, enabling IT and security administrators to take action on those specific assets.
