eBay, LiveOps, Orbitz and Qualys To Discuss the Challenges and Opportunities of Cloud Computing at Gartner Security and Risk Management Summit 2010

Redwood City, Calif. - June 16, 2010 - Qualys®, Inc., the leading provider of on demand IT security risk and compliance management solutions, today announced it will host three sessions at The Gartner Security and Risk Management Summit in Washington D.C., June 21-23, 2010.

On Monday, June 21, Qualys Chairman and CEO Philippe Courtot will join Ed Bellis, CISO, Orbitz; Niall Browne, CSO LiveOps; and Dave Cullinane, CSO and VP, eBay, to discuss the opportunities and challenges associated with cloud computing. The distinguished panel will expand on the implications the cloud has on the enterprise, vendors and security professionals, while exploring what is needed to ensure the cloud is both secure and reliable.

Qualys will host two additional sessions during the conference:

  • On Tuesday, June 22, Qualys CTO Wolfgang Kandek will moderate a roundtable discussion titled, “How to Expedite Patching in the Enterprise,” the best ways for enterprises to minimize risk while expediting the patching of critical vulnerabilities. This session will begin at 10:30 a.m. ET in Potomac Ballroom C.

  • On Wednesday, June 23, Qualys Product Director for Vulnerability Management Corey Bodzin will offer ways to enhance a vulnerability management program, including how to identify security weaknesses before they can be exploited. This session will begin at 12:15 p.m. ET in Solution Showcase Theater B.
