Companies integrate QualysGuard with Modulo Risk Manager to provide a comprehensive security risk and compliance management solution for global companies
Rio de Janeiro (RJ), Brazil and Redwood City, Calif. - August 13, 2009 - Qualys®, Inc., a provider of on demand IT security risk and compliance management solutions, and Modulo, a Brazilian company with international operations specializing in solutions for Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), today announced that the companies have formalized a partnership agreement.
As part of the agreement, the companies have integrated the QualysGuard® Vulnerability Management and Policy Compliance solution and Modulo’s Risk Manager to deliver comprehensive security risk and compliance management capabilities to the companies’ global customers. Qualys’ Chief Technology Officer Wolfgang Kandek will discuss the new integration capabilities at Modulo’s user conference and GRC meeting held in Angra dos Reis, Brazil on August 13-16, 2009.
Vulnerability management is one of the essential components of risk management and is vital to ensuring ongoing policy compliance of critical assets. Through identification and analysis of vulnerabilities, organizations can control and track risks on a global scale. Considering the great technology diversity currently used in organizations, it is important to establish continuous tracking of vulnerabilities and risk analysis across all systems and applications. Together, Modulo and Qualys are providing organizations with the ability to manage and track vulnerability and compliance data across a heterogeneous IT infrastructure.
The integration allows Modulo users to better manage their risk by automating the gathering of security and compliance data from global assets. The Modulo Risk Manager software automatically receives vulnerabilities and misconfiguration data collected through QualysGuard scans. This data is aggregated in the Modulo Risk Manager allowing users to easily view the data, providing better tracking, risk assessment and compliance documentation.
“We are pleased to have Modulo as a partner and thereby offer customers a more comprehensive solution to collect security and compliance data from global assets and assess the IT risk within their networks,” says Philippe Courtot, Chairman and CEO of Qualys.
“Through this partnership with Qualys, our customers will be able to expand their knowledge of vulnerability and compliance issues within their networks and use this information in their compliance reports,” said Fernando Nery, co-founder of Modulo.
