Qualys Awarded Checkmark PREMIUM Certification for Vulnerability Assessment

Redwood City, CA - April 25, 2006 - Qualys, Inc., the leading provider of on demand vulnerability management and policy compliance solutions, today announced that its on demand vulnerability management service, QualysGuard, has received the Checkmark PREMIUM Certification for accurately detecting 100 percent of critical vulnerabilities seamlessly and effortlessly.

The Checkmark PREMIUM certification is another measurement of the accuracy of the software as a service model for enterprise security. Today, QualysGuard delivers 99.93% uptime with Six Sigma quality, or less than 3.4 defects per every million scans.

West Coast Labs tested QualysGuard using a methodology that recreates a real-world customer experience. In the test, QualysGuard demonstrated the ability to accurately identify a variety of critical and non-critical server vulnerabilities. The network set up by West Coast Labs was comprised of 24 distinct hosts, including routers, managed switches, network servers and client matches. Products were tested and assessed on the following criteria:

• The ease of deployment of the solution
• The number of vulnerabilities correctly identified in each class
• The completeness of the report, including identification of any network changes made
• The clarity of presentation of the findings
• The clarity of advice on remediation
