GTS Selects Qualys as Foundation of New MSSP Vulnerability Management Offering
QualysGuard to be Integrated with TriActive’s Systems Management Solution to Automate Vulnerability Management and Patch Distribution
“More and more companies are moving toward outsourced security solutions to alleviate the burdens associated with deploying and managing complex IT environments,” said Ketan Dholakia, VP of IT Services and Security at GTS. “At the same time they must adhere to government security regulations and policies. QualysGuard offers us a cost-effective way to deliver vulnerability management capabilities and ensure our customers have the tools they need to remain in compliance with security best practices.”
GTS selected QualysGuard because the product’s flexible APIs allowed them to easily integrate the solution with other products in their security portfolio, including patch management from TriActive, and keep the cost of the complete offering to a minimum. GTS also wanted a solution that offered real-time vulnerability signature updates to provide end users with new threat information as soon as possible. Qualys offered GTS both capabilities in addition to distributed scanning, centralized reporting, and the lowest number of false positives.
“Most of our customers are too busy with their own business to keep track of all the vulnerabilities out there and ensure their patches are up to date,” said Dholakia. “With QualysGuard we can show our customers where their open doors are and fix the vulnerabilities for them with no additional investment in network infrastructure or personnel.”
