eSoft Partners With Qualys To Provide Network Security Scanning

BROOMFIELD, Colo. - eSoft Inc. (NASDAQ: ESFT — August 27, 2001 — today announced Security Check, a new SoftPakä application which provides companies the ability to scan their network for IT security vulnerabilities. eSoft has partnered with Qualys, Inc. to offer Security Check for the InstaGateä EX2 Internet security appliances.

Available immediately, Security Check is an automated network security assessment service that routinely scans for “security holes” in a company’s network. Powered by the Qualys network vulnerability scanning platform, Security Check pinpoints technical security exposures, assesses their risks, and makes recommendations on corrective actions. As companies may open up holes in their firewall to allow access to internal or DMZ servers, Security Check scans those services as well and reports on the risk of network intrusion.

Security Check is an annual subscription service and the introductory pricing will provide customers with one year of unlimited network scans that can be scheduled on a daily, weekly or monthly basis to ensure routine security checks.
