Qualys Adds Localisation Capabilities for QualysGuard PCI Platform

QualysGuard PCI 3.1 Now Provides Localisation of SAQ and Vulnerability Information to Address the Needs of Global Customers (in Japanese, continental European and other languages)

Slough, UK – - 4 March 2009 - Qualys, the leading provider of on demand IT security risk and compliance management solutions, announced today that QualysGuard® PCI 3.1 is now supporting localised versions of the Self Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) in all languages provided by the PCI Council as well as localised vulnerability information is Japanese, Chinese and Korean. QualysGuard PCI, used by over 1,500 organisations worldwide, remains the industry’s most widely deployed on demand scanning application for on-going management of PCI compliance efforts.

This localisation enables merchants to manage the core elements of PCI compliance more in their native language. QualysGuard PCI 3.1 includes localisation for the following components:

  • Vulnerability Knowledgebase: helps merchants understand the vulnerabilities in their native language and provide remediation steps to fix them – now available in Japanese, Chinese and Korean.
  • Self Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ): helps merchants understand PCI requirements and fill out the SAQ in their native language – now available from the PCI Council in French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Japanese.
  • Online help – now available in Japanese.
  • E-mail Communication of important alerts and registration process – now available in all languages.

The localised version for QualysGuard PCI is also available for Approved Scanning Vendors (ASVs) and Qualified Security Assessors (QSAs) with whom Qualys currently partners, enabling them to more effectively support local merchants. Currently, 68 percent of all PCI DSS ASVs and 49 percent of QSAs utilize QualysGuard to deliver PCI certification and automated Web application scanning to their global clients.
