Qualys Appoints Geoff Davies as UK Country Manager

On-Demand Security Company Relocates European Headquarters to UK

London, UK — June 19, 2003 — Qualys™, the market leader in on-demand security audits and vulnerability management, today announced the appointment of Geoff Davies as UK country manager. Davies brings to Qualys a wealth of expertise in security services and consultancy and over ten years’ experience of providing large corporations with appropriate IT solutions. Davies will be responsible for steering Qualys business development activities in the UK and is reporting to Nicolas Appert, European General Manager. The existing sales team reports to him.

Davies’ appointment is a further endorsement of Qualys’ heightening commitment to the UK market. The company will be relocating its European headquarters to the UK in the next quarter. The Qualys customer base already features over 1,000 companies - mainly Fortune 500 corporations - with over 400 new subscribers having joined in the last six months. Recent new customers include BASF, ICI, Novartis, Rockwell Automation, R.R. Donnelley and many others. The UK market and its strategic location within Europe represent an excellent opportunity for the growing company.

“I am very excited to be joining Qualys at this point in its development”, said Davies “UK companies are growing tired of the limitations of traditional security tools. From previous experience as a Qualys partner, I have experienced at first hand customer reactions to this unique service. Qualys’ on-demand security auditing ability enables organisations to start resolving problems the moment it is installed, without expensive deployment or maintenance overheads.

Prior to joining Qualys, Davies was managing director of I-SEC, the security services company. In view of current market conditions, it is a strategic move for Davies to pool I-SEC’s experience with a key partner company and mutually benefit from increased critical mass. The QualysGuard service was a key part of the I-SEC offering and many blue chip customers have benefited from its unique ability to offer proactive security.

The QualysGuard service, delivered over the Web with an Intranet Scanner appliance, provides businesses with an automated solution to perform regular security audits, vulnerability management and remediation workflow, with no outlay on administration or maintenance.
