Qualys provides great benefits to employees.

US-based employee benefits include:


Employees residing in California can choose the following medical coverage:

  • Kaiser HMO
  • Anthem Blue Cross HMO
  • Anthem Blue Cross PPO
  • Employees residing in other states are offered coverage under the Anthem Blue Cross Blue Card PPO.

Qualys covers 95% of employee and dependent costs.

(No deductible applies to HMO or in-network PPO)


Dental coverage is provided through MetLife. The plan offered is a PPO plan and allows both in-network and out-of-network providers to be used.

If you elect medical coverage, you will also need to enroll in the vision plan through VSP. Vision benefits are provided by Vision Service Plan (VSP). Exams are covered every 12 months. Lenses and frames are covered every 12 months. Contacts are available in lieu of lenses and frames.

Stock Option Plan

At the discretion of the Board, Qualys employees are granted stock options. Stock vests at a rate of 12/48 months.

401(k) Retirement Savings

With The Standard 401(k) Plan, you can save tax-deferred dollars toward your retirement through automatic paycheck deductions.

Flexible Spending Accounts

ADP Section 125 Plan allows you to pay for unreimbursed health and dependent care expenses with pre-tax dollars.

Medical expense contribution up to $2,550.

Dependent Care expense contribution up to $5,000.

Provided by LifeBalance, this confidential counseling and referral service is free and available for employees and their eligible dependents.

Commuter Benefit Plan

Under IRS Section 132, this plan will allow you to pay for public transit/parking expenses tax free.

Life & Disability

  • Short Term Disability 67% of weekly salary/$3,500 (up to 12 weeks)

  • Long Term Disability 66 2/3% of annual salary/$15,000 monthly maximum

  • Life/AD&D Insurance 2.5x annual salary to $650,000 maximum

  • Voluntary Life/AD&D Insurance up to an additional 5x to max of $500,000 for employee and up to $250,000 for spouse and $10,000 for each child

Coverage for basic life insurance and disability benefits are provided at no cost to employees through Unum.

Paid Leave

Full-time employees accrue vacation at 10 hours per month, the equivalent of 3 weeks per year. Max balance is 180 vacation hours.

10 days of sick leave are provided for periods of absence due to illness and medical care. Pro-rated if new hire.
