Where is ROCon Americas?

We are happy to announce that we will be at the JW Marriott Houston by The Galleria located at 5150 Westheimer Rd., Houston, TX 77056

Will Training be offered at ROCon Americas?

Yes, we will have the training on Monday, October 13th and Tuesday, October 14th.

I can’t attend in-person, will sessions be virtual? Will you be offering virtual training sessions?

No, this year’s ROCon and trainings are live events.

Will any of the sessions be recorded?

Yes, we will be recording some sessions and will be available on-demand after the event on our ROCon website

How can I stay informed on the latest about ROCon Americas?

Can you share more details about the agenda?

We’re still in the process of finalizing the full agenda and final session selections. The list of breakouts and speakers will be continually updated in our session catalog, so check back often.

What is the dress code for the conference?

The attire for ROCon is business casual. The meeting space can get cold, so please bring a jacket or sweater for your comfort.

How much do conference tickets cost?

Attendance to the training and ROCon is free.

If the conference is free, what do I have to pay for?

Qualys does not include the cost of flights, hotels, or transportation, but we do have some tools to help you plan your trip.
Breakfast, lunch and snacks during breaks during conference days are included.

What is the discounted room rate at the JW Marriott Houston by The Galleria?

We are happy to announce that we’ve negotiated a special ROCon Americas rate of $269 per night plus a daily resort fee of $15.

What does the daily destination fee include?

Daily $25 food & beverage credit, Daily Enhanced Hi-Speed Internet Access (WiFi), Daily Galleria Transportation within 2 miles of the hotel for up to 2 guests, Welcome JW Houston Beverage Experience in the Stray Horse for up to 2 guests.

What is the State Cost – Recovery Fee?

Texas law imposes a margin tax on each company conduction business in Texas, including the Hotel Owner. To recover the cost of the margin tax, guest room rates are subject to a “State Cost-Recover Fee” (currently 1.09% of the room rate, plus applicable state and local taxes). Although the fee is not a government mandated charge, the state allows this charge to be passed on to the customer. Guests can choose to “opt out” of paying for this fee upon check out.

I need a travel invitation letter to attend ROCon Americas, how can I get one?

How are my CPE credits recorded by (ISC)2?

You can earn CPE credits by attending the training and/or ROCon. If you included your (ISC)2 membership number when registering, Qualys will forward your hours of attendance to (ISC)2 following the conference.
If you didn’t provide us your (ISC)2 number during registration, email [email protected] using the email address you used to register, and we will add it for you. Please note that it often takes several weeks before CPE credits appear on your member account.
