MEDIA ALERT: Qualys to Unveil New Apps for its Cloud Platform with New Positioning, Logo and Website at Black Hat USA 2017

LAS VEGAS – Black Hat USA, Booth #899 – July 24, 2017 – Qualys, Inc. (NASDAQ: QLYS), a pioneer and leading provider of cloud-based security and compliance solutions, will unveil and showcase several new apps for its IT security and compliance Cloud Platform from July 24-29 at Black Hat USA 2017 and DEF CON 25 in Las Vegas.

WHAT: Qualys will introduce and showcase the following app frameworks along with its new corporate website, logo and positioning:

CloudView - A new app framework in the Qualys Cloud Platform for comprehensive and continuous protection of cloud infrastructure, delivering InfoSec and DevSecOps teams a “single pane of glass” view of security and compliance across cloud infrastructures. The first two apps in CloudView include Cloud Inventory (CI) and Cloud Security Assessment (CSA).

CertView - A new app framework in the Qualys Cloud Platform that enables customers to discover, assess and manage SSL/TLS certificates on a global scale, helping them prevent downtime and outages, audit and compliance failures, and mitigate risks associated with any expired and/or vulnerable SSL/TLS certificates on their business-critical systems. The first two apps in CertView include Certificate Inventory (CRI) and Certificate Assessment (CRA).

Qualys will also discuss its new positioning, which starts with a new website and logo refresh, plus corporate and CIO/CISO brochures highlighting the value Qualys brings to organizations. With the significant increase in performance and reach of the Qualys Cloud Platform and its Cloud Apps, Qualys is now providing customers global visibility and helping them consolidate their security and compliance stacks, while also helping them reduce costs and build security into their digital transformation initiatives:

WHAT: This presentation aims to demo the effectiveness of visual tooling for malware and file-format forensics. It will cover structural analysis and visualization of malware and network artifacts. Various techniques like entropy/n-gram visualization, using compression-ratio and theoretical minsize to identify file type and packed content, will be shown.
