Cloud Security Alliance Honors Qualys CEO Philippe Courtot with Decade of Vision Leadership Award
Marks new decade with first CIO/CISO Interchange forum to be held today in San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO – March 4, 2019 – Qualys, Inc. (NASDAQ: QLYS), a pioneer and leading provider of cloud-based security and compliance solutions, and the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) today jointly announced that Qualys Chairman and CEO Philippe Courtot has received the CSA’s Decade of Vision Leadership Award. This award recognizes Courtot for his efforts to lead enterprises towards a new era of building cloud security in, rather than bolting it on.
“The Decade of Vision Leadership Award recognizes Philippe for his passion in advising organizations to adapt security for the cloud, and for making the CSA possible through his initial participation,” said Jim Reavis, CEO of the Cloud Security Alliance. “We look forward to the next 10 years of his continued efforts to lead the industry towards an interoperable ecosystem of cloud-based technologies that span the new hybrid computing environment.”
This year, IDC reported that the rapidly growing investment in cloud infrastructure has for the first time surpassed that of traditional IT hardware, reporting that in Q318 quarterly vendor revenues from IT infrastructure product sales into cloud environments has surpassed revenues from sales into traditional IT environments, up from 43.6% a year ago.1
“I am sincerely touched and honored that the Cloud Security Alliance has awarded me, and indirectly Qualys, such a meaningful recognition of our pioneering efforts to build security into the fabric of the cloud,” said Courtot. “I am looking forward to continuing work with the CSA through the newly formed CIO/CISO Interchange, an open forum for discussions, debates and exchanges between CIOs, CTOs and CISOs about building security into today’s infrastructure, and on other initiatives.”
The first CIO/CISO Interchange forum will take place today at the Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco from 3:30 PM to 6:45 PM PT. Invitations are available exclusively for qualified security and IT leadership. Register for an invitation here: https://www.cio-ciso-interchange.org/agenda/san-francisco/
